The Supreme Court of the United States in Washington ruled over the right of women to decide for abortion. As men in the Supreme Court take decisions to threaten personal freedom, overruled and misled, they become the new target of a flying being that makes use of their methods and turns back time. It is hunting for conservative jurists to swallow them back.
The artist Anne Duk Hee Jordan juxtaposes the political dominance of men with a hybrid soft creature. In a new digital AR work called Diddle My Skittle, she explores patriarchy, a system drenched in toxic masculinity, aggression, and so-called power that reigns over the planet for millennia. Diddle My Skittle is the artistic approach to an alternative world order where sensuality and female playfulness takes over rigidness.
The work was originally produced for the exhibition Illusion at SpiegelArche as a reaction on the Russian invasion in Ukraine and is expanding now its radius of activities with new mission around the globe.
Anne Duk Hee Jordan (*1978 South Korea) lives in Berlin.
